Happy 10 Months, Gavin Lee!

Just 2 months from now and I'll officially have a 1-year-old. How the heck did that happen?! Gavin is doing much better now than in my last update. He's not near as fussy and even lets me walk away from his eyesight every now and then! He has started liking daddy a lot more, which finally gives my arms a break. He is such a funny little guy, and a super hot mess. He will laugh and scrunch his nose at you one second, and then throw himself on the ground in anger the next.

We won't have a height or weight until his one year check-up, but he's definitely growing like a weed. He's wearing 12-18 months clothing and size 4 diapers.

He still only has 4 teeth, but any day he'll have 6.
He's finally crawling on all four's, pulling up and cruising around on anything he can find, chases the dog and cat all over the house and WILL NOT stop climbing the basement stairs. It's an awkward staircase that doesn't allow for a babygate at the bottom, so we pretty much spend the entire time we are downstairs following him up and down. When he gets to the top, he sits down and claps because he's so proud of his accomplishment...and he knows he's not supposed to be up there. Somehow, clapping makes it okay. ;)

He can say mama, dada, bubba, cat, dog and lots of unintelligible squeals. He waves bye-bye, claps for himself, dances to all music, signs 'more' & gives kisses (when he feels like it).

Food has been a big challenge with him, because he still hates a lot of table food. He loves any type of bread/carbs, bananas, eggs and sometimes pears. That's it. He loathes fruits and veggies unless they are in baby food form. It's totally okay to eat baby food for life, right?!

He's also very attached to his stuffy/coo-coo/ellie/whatever he decides to call it, his blankie and his pacifier. He will not sleep without those 3 items. We have cut out the pacifier during the daytime though, and he's doing great with that.

If you follow my Instagram, you saw that we have a little biter on our hands. If he crawls up your leg, prepare for a bite. If you're holding him, prepare for a bite. If you make him angry (like telling him he can't lick the toilet or eat dogfood), prepare for him to crawl over to you and bite. Like I said, this baby? A hot stinkin' mess.

Speaking of biting, he also has one heck of a temper. His favorite game is throw himself on the ground and cry, pause to see if you're watching him, and then continue the meltdown. If he were older, it would be annoying. At 10 months? It's freaking hilarious. We are definitely in for some trouble with this little redhead.

Here is his favorite new face. He usually makes this face when he knows he's up to no good. He is still waking up around 5am to nurse, but otherwise sleeps from 7:30-7:30. He still takes a morning and afternoon nap, both of which last about 2 hours.

His favorite person in the world besides his momma, is his big brother. They are really starting to interact with each other...which isn't always a good thing. Yesterday, Christian dumped a bucket of toys on Gavin's head, so Gavin immediately crawled over to him and bit his arm. My life as a mom of boys just got real, ya'll.

He hates sitting still. He doesn't watch TV. He loves to make a huge mess with his toys. My house is always loud and crazy and I wouldn't have it any other way. Sure, I want to pull my hair out somedays, but I love being a mom and cherish these boys more than they'll ever know.

Happy 10 Months Gavin! I can't believe you're almost a toddler!! Wait...two fiesty boy toddlers under one roof?!? Lord, give me strength!
