14 Weeks | Baby #3

Hello, 2nd trimester! I sure am happy to see you! I can already feel a slight return in my energy levels...AKA I've went from complete walking zombie mode, to only half zombie mode. ;) My nausea has pretty much passed and I'm finally starting to get my normal appetite back.

Like I said in an earlier post, I'm not planning on doing updates every week...but here is my 14 week update:

Week: 14
Weight Gain: 3 pounds
Cravings: Salads & water...not to shabby, yet!
Sleep: As well as can be expected with a toddler and almost one-year-old...but no problems because of pregnancy.
Symptoms: Exhaustion & round ligament pains....YIKES, they are bad. I've been told these get worse with every pregnancy, and I haven't been let down yet.
Movement: Another perk of pregnancy #3, I get to feel movement earlier! I've felt several flutters in there the past week, but no big movement.
Stretch Marks: Yes, yes and yes. Carrying children is mean to your body. No new ones though.
Belly Button: Innie.
New this Week: Exhaustion is getting better. Nausea is fading. I'm feeling a little more energetic which means I'm starting to become a more helpful mom and wife again. Lots of ligament pains and cramping though. I don't understand this...shouldn't my body be stretched out enough?! Feeling tiny flutters. We think we have picked out a girl name, and have definitely decided on a boy name. We find out in ONE WEEK! Excited doesn't even cover it. I think it's another boy, but Dustin is leaning towards a girl. We would both love a girl, I just don't feel like this pregnancy is any different than my last two. I do seem to be carrying differently, but I honestly think it's just leftover belly fat from having Gavin so recently. Thanks buddy.

As far as new this week other than pregnancy stuff...

We moved the boys up to their next level of carseats. Gavin got Christian's hand-me-down Eddie Bauer and Christian got a new Graco seat. It's supposed to be the last seat he'll ever need...here's hoping! We also discovered that our third row doesn't have the LATCH system needed to install a car seat, which completely halted our idea that we could fit all three kids in this car. We're still trying to figure out that little speed bump!

Christian, unfortunately, caught the stomach bug that Gavin had, and was down for about 2 days. His wasn't near as bad as his brother's thankfully, and they both seem to be back to normal.

It snowed 10 inches, again, but we took advantage of hopefully the year's last snow and made snow cream. De-lish!

And with any spare time that I get, I'm busy crafting and planning Gavin's 1st birthday party next weekend. We're throwing him a mustache bash along with a little gender reveal...as long as baby cooperates, that is.

We've been pretty lazy all week long...pajamas all day. Toys everywhere. Mickey Mouse re-runs. Ya know, the usual.

Oh and, no big deal, but Gavin started standing on his own and taking steps (!!!!!!!!!!). He might be walking sooner than big brother did (13 months).

And today the boys and I took advantage of the sunshine and did some mall shopping! The Disney store, a new pair of maternity jeans, birthday outfits, pretzels w/ lemonade and 2 perfectly behaved little boys...I couldn't believe what a great afternoon we had! I was one proud mom by the time we got home...maybe I am doing something right afterall! ;)

And then the picture to completely melt my heart. Christian drew daddy, mommy, himself, Gavin and his new baby brother (he hopes) in my belly...complete with, "I love my family, mom!" I just couldn't be more proud of how smart and sweet my oldest is! Take note little hot-tempered Gavin! ;)

So that's been our week! I'm thinking my next blog post will be a 15 week update complete with 1st birthday party details and a GENDER reveal!

Thanks for reading and happy Saturday!
